Virginia Region Pony ClubsSportsmanship ~ Leadership ~ Stewardship through Horsemanship |
VRPC strives to provide resources for clubs to assist in planning, building and executing successful educational programs. In the past, this has focused on mounted instruction. However, we are now working to provide additional resources for unmounted or "ground school" instruction.
USPC Instruction Resources - The USPC website has an entire section devoted to Instruction Resources that has lots of materials for members, instructors and leaders. If you are an instructor new to Pony Club teaching, in addition to a careful read of the Standards of Proficiency, this site can provide some guidance as to Pony Club teaching expectations. You must be a member of USPC to access this information.
VRPC Standards & Certifications Clinic - Each spring, VRPC hosts a day-long clinic for members, parents, instructors and examiners to demonstrate the skills necessary to attain each certification level in Pony Club. Watch your email and our Calendar page to get information about our next S&C clinic.
VRPC Instructor List - The Instructor List is a resource for the officers and members of the Virginia Region and contains the names and contact information of people in the area who are interested and available to teach both mounted and unmounted lessons and to be examiners for certificate testings. If you are interested in being included as an instructor or examiner on this list, please contact the VRPC Regional Instruction Coordinator (RIC). Contact info can be found on our Officers & Contacts page.
