About Yvette Seger -
Dr. Yvette Seger is an H-A graduate of Lake Shore Pony Club and a current member of Potomac and Frederick Pony Clubs in the Capital Region. She serves the USPC organization multiple roles, including Chair of the Eventing Committee, impromptu Shop Pony Club model, and Chief Horse Management Judge. In her non-Pony Club life, Yvette is the Deputy Director of the Office of Public Affairs and Director of Science Policy at the Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology, a coalition of 29 scientific societies that represents 130,000 biological researchers in the development of public policy and advocacy activities. She is known to have a lint roller and Pony Club pin in her handbag at all times.

Yvette’s free time is spent doting on her "super pony,' Finders Keepers, and competing in local horse trials. When she’s not at the office, on a Pony Club conference call (frequently on a pony), judging Horse Management at rallies, or competing herself, Yvette avidly pursues her unhealthy relationship with bacon and other pork products and seeks fun and innovative pairings of her colorful knee socks. Yvette received her BA in Zoology and Politics & Government from Ohio Wesleyan University, and her Ph.D. in Genetics from SUNY-Stony Brook. She was inducted into the USPC Academy of Achievement in 2012.
