The Virginia Region will again be offering five H-B Prep sessions in 2015. Topics to be covered will include:
H-B Test Introduction, Teaching, Record Books, Conditioning Plans, Conformation & Lameness, Leg Anatomy, Shoeing, Diseases & Prevention, Teeth and Nutrition. There will be a "Field Trip" to Dover Saddlery for identification and discussion of Tack & Equipment.
The cost for the five session package is $50/per participant or an individual session is $25/per participant.
The Prep Clinics are open to C-2's thinking about taking their H-B. Current B's who are aspiring to take their H-A's will be welcomed to the clinic held at Dover Saddlery. Four of the five prep clinics will be held on the following dates and places:
- Sat, Jan 10, 9-1pm, Warrenton Visitor's Center
- Sat, Jan 17, 9-1pm, John Barton Payne Building, Warrenton
- Fri, Feb 6, 6-8pm, Dover Saddlery, Chantilly *Aspiring H-A's welcome!
- Sun, Feb 8, 9-1pm, John Barton Payne Building, Warrenton
- TBD - The fifth prep clinic will be on conformation & leg/hoof anatomy on a date at a time and facility.
A more detailed itinerary with directions on what to bring to each session will follow as we get closer to the clinic dates.
Medical Armbands will need to be worn at all prep clinics. Cell Phones will be checked at the door. Please bring a lunch...water, hot chocolate and snacks will be provided by the region.
